Dr. Chris Waterworth, PhD
Dr Waterworth is a trusted, caring audiologist, who has been helping people with hearing loss overcome communication difficulties for over 25 years. Soundhealth Hearing Clinic Pty Ltd was established in 2009, and now operates in conjunction with Mr Patrick Walsh, an ENT surgeon, in St Kilda East, Victoria.
Dr Waterworth is an expert in the field of Audiology. Whilst he is deeply committed to patient centred care in his rooms, he is also a Lecturer at the University of Melbourne, teaching into the Master of Clinical Audiology program. He received his doctorate in 2023, examining the unmet need for ear and hearing care services in low- and middle income countries.
He serves as a Director on the Board of the Graeme Clark Foundation and on the Executive Board of the Global Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS) Initiative. He is also an active member of the World Health Organization World Hearing Forum and regularly contributes to research and advocacy, working in many countries including, Cambodia, Indonesia, India, Tonga, Timor Leste, Uganda and Tanzania.
De-stigmatising hearing loss
